75 graduates in the April graduation ceremonies are alumni of the GADRA Matric School (1 in 28 graduates at this year’s ceremonies). 27 of these accessed Rhodes through the Rhodes-GADRA Bridging programme. In addition, 33 graduates were mentored by Rhodes volunteers in the 9/10ths mentoring programme before accessing the university directly from local no-fee schools.

Combined 108, or 1 in 19, of all graduates this week accessed the university through its partnerships with GADRA Education. Prof Mabizela highlighted the achievements of this collaboration in his speech at each graduation ceremony.
